Location: Bridal Destination, Mt. Airy NC
Season: June 2015

This was the big opening day for Lori and Christien's new bridal salon! The 200 year old building was the perfect backdrop for a vintage grand opening party.

I dressed the walls in the salon area with large, shabby tulle flowers after making an island with seating for displays and tired feet. A floating gold branch chandelier installation with pearl strands and crystals brought out all the bling in the gowns as well as the display for tiaras, jewelry, and headpieces. Antique vases, bowls, and gold stands held all the sparklies over draping and lights. Strategically placed mannequins in all their finery added an ethereal feel to the space.

The reception area was styled with a guest book table, welcome table with local vendor information, and black and white prints of the model shoot highlighting the salon's stunning wedding gowns by Broken Road Photography. The display window was decked with more mannequins holding feather boas and gold curtains.

The reveal room was staged with a mock Mr. and Mrs. table complete with a custom potted wreath, handcrafted paper flowers from 1930's and 40's books, and antique place settings over gold chargers and skeleton key accents.
